| Sherry is a self trained artist
specializing in digital art from photos. She works in three basic
styles - "oil" paintings, watercolour art, and
pencil drawings - to transform photos into beautiful fine art
prints or to create original works with the photo as reference.
Printing (with matting and framing
if desired) is done at ImageKind. Imagekind is widely
recognized as an outstanding source for high quality giclée
printing and framing. The prints they produce are truly
spectacular and they provide excellent online service for Sherry's
patrons.
Sherry's subjects include
people, animals, and flowers. Dogs - particularly agility dogs - are
a favorite subject, and her dog portraits are among her most popular
pieces.
Sometimes, if the photo is
excellent, the artwork is nearly a replication of the original
photo, as in this piece: |

| Some photos
require a bit more work for good composition and to improve
expression, remove unwanted elements and such, as was the case with
this Cocker Spaniel portrait: |

| Two or more photos can be
combined to produce an entirely different finished work: |
| Even the simplest
snapshot often lends itself well to pencil drawing: |

| Digital Oil Painting - This is
detail of the source photo for my Cavaliers Running -
Nearly all photos have some degree of pixelation, noise and lack of
focus, especially when resized. This was a nice large photo,
which allowed me to create lots of detail in the painting.

 |
In the painting,
colors are richer, there is no pixelation or noise, and details have
been added or enhanced with the digital "paintbrushes".
Painting techniques are much the same as with traditional painting,
with the added advantage of the source photo as underpainting. |
 |
Whatever the request, Sherry works
closely with her clients to achieve the desired effect in the finished
artwork.
Beautiful giclée prints of Sherry's
work are available through her galleries at
